5 Powerful scriptures and confessions to speak and meditate on if you want a consistent devotional life.

Happy Friday Family💞

I had a post slated for today, but the Holy Spirit brought to mind that it would be essential to share scriptures and confessions you can use (speak) daily like medicine, especially in this season where I'm talking much on devotion because scripture says in Philippians 2:13 that ''God works in you both to will and to do his good pleasure'' but for God to work in you you have to be willing. You have a part to play in putting God’s word in your heart, like a seed that would germinate and bring forth fruits.

If you have been thinking of how to curate scriptures and confessions for your use, look no further. Speak these scriptures and confessions over yourself, meditate on them continually, and you will begin to see changes.

1. Scripture: Psalm 119:105

"Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path."

Confession: I declare that God's Word is my guiding light. It illuminates my path and directs my steps each day. As I  study God's word, I understand who God has made me, and my life is changed forever.

2. Scripture: Joshua 1:8

"This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success."

Confession: I confess that I meditate on God's Word day and night. It saturates my mind and heart, leading me to success and prosperity in all areas of my life. I submit wholly to the word of God, and I see results in my life.

3. Scripture: Hebrews 4:12

"For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart."

Confession: I declare that God's Word is alive and powerful. It penetrates deep within me, bringing clarity, discernment, and transformation to my thoughts, emotions, and desires. False ideologies are destroyed, and I am further aligned with God's plan for my life.

4. Scripture: Psalm 119:11

"I have stored up your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you."

Confession: I confess that I hide God's Word in my heart. It serves as a shield against temptation, guiding me to live a life that pleases and honours Him. The word in my heart is my empowerment against sin. At the points where I seem weak, God's word on the inside makes me strong. My spirit is strengthened to overcome, amen.

5. Scripture: James 1:22

"But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves."

Confession: I am a doer of God's Word. I apply it to my life, taking action and walking in obedience. I am not deceived, but I experience the fullness of His blessings, Glory to God.

Remember, these scriptures and confessions are a starting point. As you dive deeper into God's Word and develop your relationship with Him, you'll discover even more verses that resonate with you. This doesn't mean you should pick scriptures with the wrong mindset. It's not in the volume most of the time. After all, if it is effectively nurtured, one seed produces a bountiful harvest.

Let the word sit in your heart and bear fruit. Keep seeking God in your devotional time, and He will continue to guide and strengthen you. You're doing fantastic, my friend!

Every post sets us free because God's words are new, even to the writer. I have learned much from today's post, and I hope you have too. God loves you, and I hope you love you, too, because you are worth every bit of love.
